A temporary display describing and paying tribute to the visionary genius of Joe Colombo, through the latest re-issue of one of his designs made by Oluce.
In the spaces of Understate, a showcase for Milanese design, the company presents The Globe, a product from 1964 originally created in the table and pendant version and now – for the company’s 70th birthday – in an all-new wall edition.
The pure geometries of The Globe coexist in a constant balance between form and functionality: the transparent blown glass sphere contains within it the cylindrical metal reflector that projects its timeless light into the surrounding space.
The installation can be viewed at Understate starting from 23 October until 3 November.
