Design Ferdi Giardini, 2001
With well-defined shapes and a precise design, Teda by Ferdi Giardini is an outdoor lamp with a strong character, an uncompromising object. The slender luminous methacrylic rod, the dominant element of the project, is common to the two variations of Teda, available in floor and wall lamp versions. In the floor lamp version, the transparent cylinder is supported by a circular base and a metal cylinder providing stability.
Instead, in the wall lamp version, the metal part of the cylinder is fixed directly to the surface yet it has, a diagonal cut at the upper end, as a kind of distinctive quirk, almost as if to show a part of the solid geometric shape to enhance its perfection.
Outside floor lamp giving indirect PMMA diffuser tube, transparent PMMA reflecting rod. Zinc-plated painted metal base.
