The Intesa Sanpaolo Publifoto Archive tells the story of the Novecento Italiano with a new exhibition dedicated to the Festival di Sanremo, officially the Italian Song Festival. The Spider lamp by Oluce has been picked as one of the most representative and iconic objects of the sixties.
Curated by Aldo Grasso, the exhibition focuses on the “backstage events“of this song contest, from its creation in 1951 to 1976. The visitor itinerary juxtaposes the photos on display with symbolic objects from the years in question.
Spider, designed by Joe Colombo in 1965, is one of the most iconic lamps in the Oluce collection, and it earned its place in the history of Italian design by winning the Compasso D’Oro award in 1967.
