MINI COUPÈ – design Joe Colombo
Coupé was born in 1967 from the creative intuition of <strong>Joe Colombo. This year, Oluce is expanding the family with the introduction of Mini Coupé, a smaller scale version of the table lamp, available in a stunning new contemporary range of colours. At 34 cm in height and in brand new colours, the Mini Coupé wittily maintains all the vigour common to Joe Colombo’s designs of the 60s. The Mini Coupé, with its chrome stem and semi-cylindrical shade, retains the distinctive profile and bold character which define the Coupé collection and which have always made it an exceptionally modern lighting range, now even more complete.
NEWS 2022 G.O. – design Giuseppe Ostuni
The G.O. lamp is the revival edition of a model designed for Oluce by Giuseppe Ostuni in the 1960s. A lamp that, in the essence of its design, is extremely current, characterised by a vertical shaft from which a horizontal arm branches off and on which the lampshade is mounted. The arm, thanks to the system of joints, is therefore a sliding element that can be repositioned and oriented depending on specific needs. The revival edition is enhanced by precious details in satin gold, which stand out in contrast with the black nickel – of the arm – and the colours of the base and the lampshade, these last two available in three different colours: black, scarlet, and anodic bronze. The use of colour gives energy and a fresh modern look to the original design: this revival edition enhances the project with a new reading lamp, this too characterised by the option of repositioning and orienting the beam of light.
NEWS 2022 PARALLEL – design Victor Vasilev
Parallel by Victor Vasilev consists of a cylindrical metal lampshade supported by a vertical stem positioned laterally. The stem has two matt-black metallic plates that are spaced apart and slide in parallel directions from the base to the lampshade. What makes Parallel unique is the lampshade, which has been covered on the outside with hammered leather that comes in two different shades: leather and sand. This is the first time that Oluce has used leather in a collection of lamps, and this shows its ability to explore new solutions and to continue to remain innovative. Attention to detail and an original visual and tactile perception make Parallel a modern, highly geometric lamp that has a place in a range of design settings and can satisfy the most diverse style needs.
ATOLLO – design Vico Magistretti
Designed in 1977 by Vico Magistretti, over the years, Atollo has become the archetype of the table lamp, winning the Compasso d’Oro in 1979 and completely revolutionising the way we imagine the classic bedside lamp. The geometric shapes that compose it – cylinder, cone and hemisphere – have resulted in a product that is decorative and essential at the same time, disconnected from the historical period and the fashions of the moment, and one that has now fully become one of the icons of Italian design. Atollo is available in three different sizes and in different finishes: gold, satin bronze, white or black metal and opal glass.
