Oluce participated with its iconic Atollo lamp by Vico Magistretti, a timeless symbol of lighting design history.
Among the various initiatives, a key event was “Le idee geniali” exhibition organised by Giulio Cappellini. This exhibition took place in the evocative setting of the Church of Sant’Agostino and will be open to the public until early February 2024, providing an exciting combination of art and design to the Tuscan town.
The exhibition explores the innovative ideas that have made certain products icons of Italian and international design. At its heart, Vico Magistretti‘s Atollo is an eloquent demonstration of Italian creative genius. First unveiled in 1977, and winner of the Compasso d’Oro in 1979, this revolutionary table lamp has continued to shape the way lighting is created. Its distinctive geometric shapes – the cylinder, cone and hemisphere – give this object a perfect decorative aesthetic balance and essential functionality, which make it one of the milestones of Italian and international design.
Oluce’s participation in the Pietrasanta Design Weekend 2023 underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to promoting excellence in design and lighting, and confirms the brand’s importance in the Italian marketplace, inspiring design enthusiasts worldwide.
