Oluce is taking part as a partner in the monographic exhibition “Caro Joe Colombo, ci hai insegnato il futuro” (Dear Joe Colombo, you taught us the future), which opens on 23 May in the prestigious rooms of the municipal Modern Art Gallery in Milan, known as the GAM, one of the city’s major museums.
In collaboration with the Joe Colombo archives to mark the fiftieth anniversary, in 2021, of the designer’s death, this important exhibition event intends to offer an in-depth look at his work, while at the same time also exploring the extraordinary cultural significance that invigorated all he created.
Thanks to collaboration with Joe Colombo that started in the sixties, Oluce has produced some of the most innovative lamps in the history of design and, for this exhibition it will be putting on show its Spider, The Globe, Fresnel, Acrilica, Colombo, Coupè, and Mini Coupè models.
The event will bring together the main projects by this designer. The collection will be further enhanced by sketches and photos from the archives, plus a series of videos made especially for the exhibition, starring famous designers/architects commenting on the work of this great maestro.
