The unmistakable lines of Oluce’s timeless icon was chosen to decorate and enhance certain spaces in the new Roomers hotel in Baden Baden.
Inaugurated in November, the hotel is one of the most recent projects designed by the Lissoni Architettura studio together with the German studio KHP architekten.
Various models of the Sonora lamp by Vico Magistretti, in several sizes, have been placed in the dining room and in one of the lounge areas of the hotel. Designed in 1976 and manufactured in numerous materials and sizes, the Sonora lamp is one of the most emblematic projects of the collaboration between Oluce and Magistretti, an archetypal object that never goes out of style thanks to its clean lines and simple geometry. A special version of this iconic suspension lamp was created specifically for the hotel, thanks to the bespoke tailoring service offered by the company, with the exterior of the cap in bronze and with an all new finish for the interior chosen by Studio Lissoni.
Oluce created its bespoke service especially for this kind of contract, offering the chance to have tailor made lamps for specific needs or, as in the case of Roomers, to have customizable versions of already existing collections.
