German Design Awards 2020: Ilo by David Lopez Quincoces among the winners in the lighting category

Oluce has won the Excellent Product Design Award in the lighting category at the prestigious German Design Awards 2020. The 2020 edition awarded Ilo – a family of lamps designed by David Lopez Quincoces from Madrid – as an example of innovation and style.

This award is the second recognition for the Ilo collection, which was presented during Euroluce 2019 and was recently awarded at the Archiproducts Design Awards.

Ilo stands out for its architectural references and exceptionally clean design: it is an object suited to the most diverse worlds and styles thanks to its subtle decorative touch and its exquisite finishes.
The Ilo family features three versions of the product: a pendant lamp, a suspension lamp with vertical movement and a wall lamp.

First launched in 2012 by the German Design Council, the German Design Awards aim to promote and publicise the most innovative projects that represent pioneering contributions to the international design scene. A jury, composed of over 40 experts from different fields – industrial design, science, academia and business – considered the Ilo lamp, for the lighting category, to be perfectly in line with the aesthetic, innovative and sustainable criteria used by the group in the assessment process.
