Oluce lights are included in the big collection of projects published on the pages of the new catalogue-book entitled “Joe Colombo. Designer. Critical catalogue 1962-2020”.
Iconic lamps like Spider and Acrilica are obviously featured in the chapters of this book put together by Ignazia Favata, Joe Colombo’s historic assistant from 1968. The first critical catalogue of his work, it covers 200 projects with special attention given to those still in production after fifty years.
The story of Oluce became interwoven with that of Joe Colombo in the fifties, when the designer met Giuseppe Ostuni, the founder of Oluce, and the company gained revolutionary momentum.
Collaboration with Joe Colombo in fact led to some of the most innovative lamps in the history of Italian design. Still in the collection today, these have become true international design icons.
Together with Joe Colombo, Oluce became a pioneering company in the field of research and experimentation into light sources, over the years winning countless awards and recognition.
