Built inside an old building with a private garden in the heart of the historic centre of Rome, Margutta 19 is a small, elegant hotel at the foot of the Pincian Hill, one of the city’s most characteristic panoramic viewpoints.
The interior spaces and the structure have been recently renovated, interpreting the classic atmospheres of the capital in the so-called “foreigner’s quarter”. The architectural project was curated by the Arassociati architecture studio – Studio Berlucchi, Arassociati with architects Gabriella Cricrì and Giulia Salvioni while the interior was designed by Arassociati architecture studio with Nicola Gallizia Design.
Classic settings and sophisticated use of materials have resulted in a radical renewal for a luxurious, modern hotel, in keeping with an international atmosphere steeped in Roman spirit.
Oluce lamps have been chosen to illuminate and embellish both common areas and private rooms. Inside the suites, we find the iconic Coupè 2202, a table lamp designed by Joe Colombo, while Duca 1950 wall lamps by Nicola Gallizia have been used for the restaurant area.
Both have been customised with a bronze finish and specially made for the hotel, thanks to the Bespoke service offered by Oluce. Bespoke Tailoring is a “product customisation” service, designed specifically for this kind of project. In addition to the range available in the catalogue, the company offers the opportunity to create lamps tailored to specific needs or to produce modular variants of existing products from the collection, as in this case. The service is aimed at architects and designers to meet the most specific production needs in a customised, flexible way.
